Top five bloggers you must follow:

While I have only just started my own blog, I am completely guilty of spending hours of what should be study time, trawling through endless blog pages, admiring the prettiest and most interesting blog posts from bloggers all over the internet. Here is a small collection of my absolute favourites.....

Rosie's been blogging for years now and so is at the top of the blogging game. She has the most amazing foodie posts that will definitely leave you salivating into your soggy cornflakes. With the most beautiful pictures, outfits and general lifestyle, Rosie's blog is definitely a must-see. Just try not to get too jealous of the food, seriously.

Another Rosie! I found this Rosie's blog simply by typing into Google 'Lifestyle blogs', and I'm so glad I did. You can't help but come away from reading Rosie's blog with a warm fuzzy feeling, especially because of her weekly, '10 things that've made me happy this week', where she details all life's small but lovely little perks that we often are guilty of forgetting about in the business of modern life. Cider with Rosie is very much a lifestyle blog and so you also get a sneak-peek into her charming life with her fiance and dog Teddy, which is really nice. Highly recommended blog to while away a few hours on.

I came across this blog on Rosie's (second Rosie's) recommendation in one of her blogger advertising posts, and again, am very glad I did. Lisette's blog is similar to Rosie's in that it is very much lifestyle based, with popular posts detailing what she is thankful for, and the ever-popular recipe posts. It has a very autumnal feel with lots of outdoorsy pictures, and so is the perfect blog to read during those long dark evenings coming up.

Afternoon Tea @ The Langham London

The Langham London is located at the very end of Regent street, one of the busiest streets in London, and so it is no surprise that this 5* hotel is always incredibly popular. The hotel was built between 1863-1865 and has since attracted an impressive clientele, as it was previously frequented by guests such as Mark Twain, Oscar Wilde, and was even the setting for some of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock stories.

As such, it is no surprise that the Afternoon Tea there is one of the most popular in London. I have always loved the idea of Afternoon tea, loving the idea of settling down with endless amounts of tea and cake because, who wouldn't? So I very luckily got to go experience this at the Langham for my 21st Birthday.

The room itself in which you are seated for Afternoon Tea, the Palm Court, is incredibly impressive. It is the very definition of opulence, with giant chandeliers and a man actually playing the piano for the entire room, very beautifully I may add. However, the classic interior also very much has a modern feel to it aswell, with brightly coloured armchairs and glass furnishing, which make the room feel all the more luxurious.

As you are seated, you are presented with the menu, and given the choice of two Afternoon Tea's, and a huge range of actual tea from which to choose.
You can choose from the 'Wonderland Afternoon Tea', which consists of the more traditional sandwich choices such as egg mayonnaise and mustard cress, and smoked salmon with brie, and which is the cheaper option, at £44. You also get the option of the 'Bijoux Afternoon Tea', at the more expensive price of £52, which gives you far more diverse and luxurious sandwich choices, such as foie gras and smoked duck, and lobster and cucumber. Both options come with an additional charge for champagne.

We went for the Wonderland Afternoon Tea, preferring the sound of its sandwiches fillings to the Bijoux option. I also went for the classic English breakfast tea. The whole experience was great from start to finish. The sandwiches were incredibly tasty, as were the scones. However, we found the selection of pastries and cakes to be rather too sweet for our taste, but were still delicious in moderation. Your mug of tea never has the chance to be empty, as the waiting staff instantly come to replenish your supply before you've had the chance to finish it. Similarly, a member of staff occasionally comes round to ask if you would like more sandwiches, which we would have liked to have been asked more the once, enjoying the sandwiches as much as we did!

All in all, Afternoon Tea at the Langham was a really lovely, luxurious feeling experience, and I put emphasis on the word experience, as it really is something to be savoured and to enjoy every aspect of, rather than a place to just focus on the quality of food. I would definitely return, and if you can spare the admittedly expensive price tag as a one-off treat, it really is worth it.

Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed this post.

Lea Michele Glamour Awards NYC

So, anyone who knows me will know that I am OBESESSED with the TV show 'Glee', and anything and everything to do with it. Lea Michele for me is the epitome of the shows message and someone I just totally idolise. So, I thought it only right to do a little post about her choice of dress for this weekend's Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York at the Carnegie Hall. So here we go!

For me, Lea barely ever gets it wrong, and she has not disappointed with this dress. Exuding classic Hollywood Glamour, Lea's red lips, big hair and flawless make-up bring the entire look together. Not to mention the dress. Lea's Jenny Packham dress simply hits all the right notes, if you'll pardon the pun. The simplicity of the colour matched with the luxury of the jewels ensures that the look is beautifully balanced. I completely adore it.
